Additional Linksys WRT350N Wireless-N Gigabit Router with Storage Link Information

The Wireless-N Gigabit Router with Storage Link is really four devices in one box. First, theres the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect to the network without wires. Theres also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100/1000 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together at up to gigabit speeds. The Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection. Weve also included a Storage Link that lets you easily add gigabytes of storage space onto your network using readily available USB 2.0 hard drives -- or plug in a USB flash disk for a convenient way to access your portable data files. The built-in Media Server streams music, video, and photos from the attached storage device to any UPnP compatible media adapter. And you can get to your files from anywhere in the world through the Internet. The Access Point built into the Router uses the very latest wireless networking technology, Wireless-N (draft 802.11n). By overlaying the signals of multiple radios, Wireless-Ns Multiple In, Multiple Out (MIMO) technology multiplies the effective data rate. Unlike ordinary wireless networking technologies that are confused by signal reflections, MIMO actually uses these reflections to increase the range and reduce dead spots in the wireless coverage area. The robust signal travels farther, maintaining wireless connections up to 3 times farther than standard Wireless-G.

What Customers Say About Linksys WRT350N Wireless-N Gigabit Router with Storage Link:

Product is functioning wonderfully. It's what we needed for our system and was not available at local stores. Thanks Amazon.

This router works good if all you want is an Internet connection for casual surfing. Shortly after I open a port for forwarding traffic, the router locks up and I have to reset it. This is a low end router. The price for this average router should be from $50 to $70.

Not sure if it is sure but that's what the email said. But I am not so excited about getting the WRT600N either. My son also complained about me paying so much for this piece of crap when comparing to the SMC router that I owned for more than 4 years.Every now and then I had to reset this router ever after upgrading to the latest firmware. I did not get a better reception than the 4 years old SMC router. Based on the review from other people, the WRT600N does not seem to be any better. After several months, it finally died and I couldn't get it up anymore, i.e. never able to get to the http admin home page.Luckily, it has 3 years warranty, instead of getting a refurbished one of the same model, Linksys is sending me a refurbished WRT600N which suppose to me more expensive than the WRT350N. Linksys has been selling good quality products but I am disappointed about the WRT350N. In this case, I do not recommend it to anyone.

This router has less range than my old Netgear Wireless-G router. Very dissapointing. Also, the setup wizard on the supplied CD didn't work with Windows XP, and I had to manually configure the router. Other than that, all router functions seem to work well, and the user interface is very good.

I installed this to use with my Desktop (XP) and a Laptop (Vista), the Desktop wired, the Laptop wireless. The Laptop came with a wireless card so only needed a menu setup and it was working, at least I could connect to the internet. The wiring of the Desktop was easy, I installed the software, followed directions and startup went perfect (did need to call my ISP for one piece of info). The Desktop worked flawlessly. When I tried to set up file and printer sharing with my Desktop (the printer is connected directly to the desktop) I found the lack of any explicit instructions related to this was a problem for me. Several days of internet research finally resolved it and now all works perfect.
